RULES / GUIDELINES
Aim
To promote the SOTA concept on the 11m band without frontiers
To promote camaraderie in the field under physically and mentally challenging conditions

Participation
Open, everyone is welcome to participate, without distinctions (any groups or independent DXers)
Categories
1. SOTA Hunters
The objective of participants in this category is to contact as many of the registered SOTA stations as possible.
Hunters must submit their logs to the organizing team by email no later than 15/11/2012.

Registration:
It is not necessary to register the intention to participate in this category.
2. Operators (or Team) activating SOTA
The objective of participants in this category is to activate a summit/s in accordance with the rules outlined by the HAMRADIO from SOTA Watch.

Teams must organise their own QSL Manager and QSL card OR share payment of an eventual common QSL card.
All teams are required to publish or submit proofs (photos, videos, gps captures) and a brief summary of the activity in words by a maximum of 15 days after the end of their activities by email to: sotamanagers@gmail.com or using SOTA 11m newsgroup.
If a station (or a team) does not send his proof the activity will not be validated.
Teams must submit their logs (1 per activated SOTA) correctly completed to the organizing Team a maximum of 15 days after the end of their activity (to be able to update the info on-line) by email to: sotamanagers@gmail.com or using SOTA 11m newsgroup.

Please note that there will be no challenge between activating operators (or teams) to conserve the best spirit between us.
Registration:
Interested teams should send an email to Organisers with details of their intended summit, the summit’s reference number, the dates and times of their activity, who will comprise the team, the predicted callsign, station details, etc.
Scoring:
Points distributed to Hunters for each SOTA contact will vary from 1-10 and will depend on the classification of “SOTA Watch”.

Classification – Awards
Prizes will be awarded to the three most successful SOTA Hunters.

2nd= 1 diploma + 1 medallion + 1 SOTA logbook
3rd = 1 diploma + 1 medallion+ 1 SOTA logbook
4rd = 1 diploma + 1 medallion
5th = 1 diploma + 1 medallion
6th = 1 diploma + 1 medallion
7th = 1 diploma + 1 medallion
8th = 1 diploma + 1 medallion
9th = 1 diploma + 1 medallion
10th = 1 diploma + 1 medallion
